Terms of service

The rules that govern how you use Zuzu, and what you can expect from us in return.

Last updated: 20 April 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Zuzu Healthcare ("Zuzu"). By creating an account or using any Zuzu service — ambulance booking, blood donor matching, or doctor appointments — you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Zuzu is a technology platform that connects users with independent third-party providers: ambulance fleet operators, registered blood donors, licensed blood banks, and doctors registered with the National Medical Commission ("NMC") or respective State Medical Councils. Zuzu is not itself a medical provider.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Zuzu account. You represent that the information you provide is accurate and current.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

4. Emergency disclaimer

Zuzu is not a substitute for India's national emergency ambulance service (108) or for in-person emergency care. If you or someone near you is in a life-threatening situation, please call 108 or your nearest hospital. Zuzu is designed to complement, not replace, public emergency services.

5. Ambulance bookings

  • Fares are shown upfront before you confirm a booking. No surge pricing is applied during emergencies.
  • Ambulance services are operated by partner fleets. Zuzu verifies partners and standards but does not operate vehicles.
  • Cashless admission is available at supported partner hospitals with supported insurers.

6. Blood donor matching

  • Donor searches return only verified, consenting donors within your chosen radius.
  • Zuzu does not charge donors or requesters for the matching service itself.
  • Actual donation, testing, and transfusion are governed by the blood bank or hospital involved and the applicable Drugs and Cosmetics Rules.

7. Doctor appointments

  • All listed doctors are verified against the NMC or respective State Medical Council registers.
  • Fees are set by individual doctors and shown before you book.
  • Video consults and digital prescriptions are provided in line with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 issued by the Board of Governors / NMC.

8. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed through regulated payment gateways. Refunds, where applicable, follow the cancellation and refund rules shown at the time of booking.

9. Your content

You retain ownership of anything you submit to Zuzu (reviews, messages, reports). You grant us a limited licence to use it to operate and improve the service, consistent with our privacy policy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zuzu is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Grievance redressal

Unresolved issues can be escalated to our Grievance Officer as required under the Information Technology Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. See the grievance officer page for details.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Dharwad, Karnataka.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
